The Edward H. Bitzer American Legion Post 27, located at 110 South Houser Street in Muscatine Iowa, is one of nearly 14,000 American Legion Posts with 2.4 million members worldwide. We are home to more than 500 members including Post 27, American Legion Auxiliary Unit 27 and the Sons of the American Legion. We often work together as a family, supporting veterans, the community and the aims of the American Legion on a statewide and national basis.

Our facility contains a large “Hall” that is used for American Legion meetings, sponsored veteran and social events including dances. Additionally there is a full kitchen which is routinely used by the American Legion Family to prepare, host and serve meals to veterans and to the community. The Hall can also be reserved by non-members for social events such as weddings, anniversaries and birthday parties, etc. It contains a bar and bartenders can be provided. Stop by, or call the Legion at 563-263-3441, and talk to Club Manager, Gary Meeke, for more information.

Separated from the Hall & kitchen area, with its own entrance, is a large Social Club.  The Club is open on a daily basis, except for Thanksgiving and Christmas Day,  for members and their guests to meet and get together.  The club contains a well-stocked bar, plenty of T.V.’s to watch from all directions, a pool table, dart board and regular tables for those who prefer not to sit at the bar or just want to play cards or socialize.
